moving...

This is by far the easiest 'move' our family has had...
no cleaning, no sorting, no packing, no rental truck, no moving... you get the idea.

I made a new share site on Shutterfly.
I think it'll be easier to keep up.
Less writing, more pictures and videos.
Perfect :)

Keep up with the Dears over here now...

Deanna and Troy's Wedding

On Saturday November 11, 2012 we drugged up our sick kiddos and then headed to the beach to see Aunt Deanna get married and make Uncle Troy officially family! The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was lots of fun. Soooo much family! :) I didn't take many pictures because we were too busy having fun (or wiping noses, holding crying babies, trying to get them to eat). Logan LOVED his dates. Shannon and her 14 year old friends played with Logan almost the whole night. He didn't want to dance as much as he wanted to go with his girls all over the reception hall. And Keeg, well he wanted his mama.

this is when we got home
Keeg loved the beads Logan got from the DJ
and he was suddenly pleasant and WIDE awake.

living room update

Well I guess we thought life wasn't crazy enough... or maybe we spent too much time stuck in the house during the boys sick week(s). But we decided to rearrange the living room furniture. We used the sofa to separate the living room and play room areas. It's helped keep the toys to only half the room! Woohoo! And this picture also shows the boring paint color we had in the living room. So on the one year anniversary of our home ownership (!!!!) we painted the living room. Finally. :)

here is the new color!
and the pillars are a light blue color above the chair rail
(or if you ask Josh, they are a different shade of white...
you know the blue shade of white.)

beginning of November

Not many pictures for the beginning of the month. We had (still sorta have) a family wide sickness going through our home. Both boys had ear infections, a "junky cough" in their chest, and fevers. And Keegan decided he wasn't grumpy enough and got 3 more teeth at the same time! And now that they are starting to feel better - it's time for Josh and I to have the fun. Anyway... here are a few pictures to share. :)
we enjoyed a day with Grandma Nancy when she visited -
this is from the Windows Store dance party thing...
the kids had lots of fun!

we also enjoyed dinner at our favorite BWW
(this was before the sickness started... maybe where we got it? lol)

a size smaller than they should be wearing.

9 months old!

Okay, this is late. Keegan turned 9 months on October 31, 2012. At first, I was upset that I didn't get a good picture for Keegan's 9 month photo shoot. And then I realized, that these pictures very much describe Keegan at 9 months old. He is everywhere! And into everything! And sitting still for a picture? Please, he has better things to do.

He likes to keep all of his weight in his cheeks and thighs. And he likes to keep all of his hair in the back of his head. It even has a curl to it. So adorable. Maybe, one day, he'll have it all over. But what he does have - isn't really red like Logan's. More of a dirty blonde? We'll see when it actually comes in though. Josh wants him to have curls everywhere and not boring hair like Logan.

At his 9 month well visit (more like 9.5 months b/c it was just this week) he weighed 19 lbs even (22nd percentile) and was 27.75 inches long (25th percentile). And his head dropped from the 90th percentile to the 75th. When I compare his baby stats to Logan's - he's always been 1 pound heavier than Logan and right around the same length. But this time, he actually weighs less and is shorter than Logan at 9 months old. Anyway, his doctor was concerned because he dropped from the 50th, 50th and 90th percentiles in 3 months. So we have to go back in a month for a measurement check. (boo!) I'm sure he will gain weight (it just won't be much). The problem Keegan is having is that he has this baby to-do list that really is taking him away from drinking his bottles and eating his meals. We're working on it. And the other problem, well he thinks he's big. Keegan can walk about 8-10 steps before he just stops and sits. I don't think he loses his balance or anything, just decides - it's much faster if I crawl (and it is). We're having trouble getting him to do it outside of home - he just knows he's faster if he crawls and he has things to check out. It's okay though, we don't really want a walking 9 month old anyway.

Keegan and Logan have an awesome relationship right now. When Keegan is missing, Logan immediately asks for him and is very excited when he returns. And Keegan has an eye on Logan at all times and tries to do everything he does.
Keegan has a few sounds/words at 9 months old. He has said mama for awhile now and he uses it to call for me. And there is nothing cuter than a little baby crawling after me and calling my name. Keeg also says dada (when prompted), baba (bottle), and ga-ga when he's following Logan around. He knows how to sign more, wave hi & bye, clap and give a high five. My favorite Keegan trick is when you ask him for a kiss - he's comes at you with a big ol' open mouth. He can give raspberries and "motorboats" with his mouth. He makes the car brrrrm sound when he plays with cars - just like Logan does. Sooo cute!
We definitely love our little Keegan. He is just so much fun to spend the days with. I can't believe Keegan will be one in just a few months. The year has definitely flown by but we can't remember life before Keegan - though, I'm pretty sure I slept ALOT more back then. ;)
Happy 9 months Keegan Chase!

photos by Jamie

So I found these adorable outfits for the boys to wear to Meg & Ryan's wedding and decided to use them for Christmas card pictures. And then I found a really good Groupon for Christmas cards but I had to order them before Halloween! (obnoxious right?) So Jamie was FABULOUS and took these awesome pictures of our boys. I love them so much! (the pictures and our boys!) I just couldn't keep them a secret until Christmas so I'm sharing them now.

Warning: some really cute pictures of really cute kids ahead ;)

Happy Halloween!

We went trick or treating twice this year. First in the town of Middletown, the businesses welcome trick  or treaters on Thursday October 25. We went with the Kemp kids and the Finch kids! Logan really liked it - figured out that he was getting candy in his bucket and wanted to do "one more time!" Keegan hated the scary masks and wanted to be held the whole time. Oh well...

our pirate on Halloween

checking each other out

and the pirate's parrot!

This was our first Halloween in our new house and we weren't sure how many kids to expect and how much candy to buy. When we asked our neighbor he said, "well I have 2 400-count bags and I usually run out by 7:30." 800 pieces of candy in 1 and 1/2 hours??? Yup, that happened! Crazy! After we walked around for awhile with Logan and Keegan we came home around 6:45 and turned our light off at 7:15 because we were out of candy. (And kids were still ringing the door bell after the light was off... but that's a different story.)

Logan LOVED trick or treating! He walked with Josh up to the house, said "trick or treat" "thank you" and "bye bye" loud enough for everyone to hear! And then he'd walk down to me and ask me "one more time??" My favorite part when we came home though. Every time someone came to our door (during that 30 minute window), Logan would run to the front door carrying his bucket and say trick or treat and try to add more candy to his bucket. EVERY TIME! We definitely love that kid.

And Keegan was much better trick or treating on Halloween. He rode in the stroller (left his hat on!) and smiled whenever someone came to talk to him. Love that baby too! And then when we came home, he took some really steady steps. (I need to post a video.) Not sure if a walking 9 month old is a trick or a treat...
