We went trick or treating twice this year. First in the town of Middletown, the businesses welcome trick or treaters on Thursday October 25. We went with the Kemp kids and the Finch kids! Logan really liked it - figured out that he was getting candy in his bucket and wanted to do "one more time!" Keegan hated the scary masks and wanted to be held the whole time. Oh well...

This was our first Halloween in our new house and we weren't sure how many kids to expect and how much candy to buy. When we asked our neighbor he said, "well I have 2 400-count bags and I usually run out by 7:30." 800 pieces of candy in 1 and 1/2 hours??? Yup, that happened! Crazy! After we walked around for awhile with Logan and Keegan we came home around 6:45 and turned our light off at 7:15 because we were out of candy. (And kids were still ringing the door bell after the light was off... but that's a different story.)
Logan LOVED trick or treating! He walked with Josh up to the house, said "trick or treat" "thank you" and "bye bye" loud enough for everyone to hear! And then he'd walk down to me and ask me "one more time??" My favorite part when we came home though. Every time someone came to our door (during that 30 minute window), Logan would run to the front door carrying his bucket and say trick or treat and try to add more candy to his bucket. EVERY TIME! We definitely love that kid.
And Keegan was much better trick or treating on Halloween. He rode in the stroller (left his hat on!) and smiled whenever someone came to talk to him. Love that baby too! And then when we came home, he took some really steady steps. (I need to post a video.) Not sure if a walking 9 month old is a trick or a treat...
